Using the Paste Special command (Windows)
The Paste Special command pastes or embeds the Clipboard
contents in a specified format. It also can create a link to
information in another movie. The Paste Special dialog box
contains the following options:
Source Displays the name of the source data and its
location.
Paste Inserts the Clipboard contents into your drawing.
Paste Link Inserts the Clipboard contents into your
drawing and creates a link to the source application so that the
pasted items are updated automatically.
As Defines the type of information you want to paste.
Choose Object to paste an object and the information needed to
edit the object. The name of the object depends on the application
that created it. The object can later be converted to an editable
Flash drawing using Modify > Break Apart.
Choose Picture (Metafile) to paste an image that Flash converts
to a form that can be edited in Flash. Choose Text (ASCII) to
paste unformatted text. Choose Text (Native) to paste text with
formatting information. Choose Flash Drawing to paste a portion of
a Flash drawing.
Display As Icon Displays the link as an icon in your
drawing.
Result Describes the result of the selection operation.
Change Icon Opens the Change Icon dialog box. Use the
options in this dialog box to choose a different icon. This option
is available only if the Display As Icon option is selected.
